Following Jesus (Part 3): Invitations

This weekend at Spring Hills Baptist Church, Pastor Tom Pound will continue our sermon series on Following Jesus by exploring the invitations Jesus gave to two young men. We will examine the rich young ruler in Mark 10:17-22, who asked Jesus how to inherit eternal life but walked away sorrowful when challenged to give up his wealth. In contrast, we will look at Matthew the tax collector in Matthew 9:9, who immediately left everything behind to follow Jesus. These stories challenge us to reflect on our response to Jesus’ call—are we willing to surrender what holds us back? Join us as we discuss what it truly means to follow Jesus, counting the cost and the immeasurable reward of a life devoted to Him.
